V. E. Blake is the collaborative pen name of married writing duo Nadia and Caleb Blake. Combining Nadia’s background in clinical psychology with Caleb’s experience as a structural engineer, they craft intricately plotted, character-driven thrillers that explore the darkest corners of human nature and the complex architecture of deception.
When they are not mapping out their next twist or debating character motives over coffee, they can be found hiking the rugged trails of the Pacific Northwest with their two rescue dogs. The Silent Architecture, their debut psychological suspense novel, is available now.

Holding a Ph.D. in Behavioral Psychology from Stanford University, Caleb acts as our creative engine. After working behind closed doors as a private narrative consultant and threat profiler for independent corporate intelligence agencies, he pivoted to full-time fiction. Utilizing manual typewriters in a low-light, reclusive studio, he dissects real-world human vulnerabilities to map out intense psychological tension. A severe shellfish allergy shapes his hyper-controlled environment.
